Would this phone be locked into the Vodafone network and could it be unlocked?Thanx

hi there....as per the product specification featured at www.myshopping.com.au/SP--80901_Sharp_GX17_GSM_Mobile_Phone this phone cannot be unlocked. considering the fact that it is a fairly non-expensive phone, you are at a benefit by buying it through the network. Getting a phone unlocked from the network is usually cost-prohibitive and can result in unnecessary trips to the store. This is further compounded by the fact that there are so many phones which you can choose from which are network-independant that the additional hassle makes very little sense. If you are really keen on a simple and reasonably priced phone, you can shop at this web site and be spoilt for choice....so the tip is...stay away from network locked phones if you are not sure about whether you are going to stick to a particular network or not.
