GPS SYSTEMS

Category: Question about TomTom ONE XL Regional GPS
Posted by: 27-Aug-2008
I must say it is very difficult to understand the features of all the GPS devices even within one manufacturer (Tomtom).
I need a 4.3 GPS which is easy to use and do not require all the other PDA features other than bluetooth as it will only be used as a navigation system and hands free phone ability.
Any ideas will be most welcome.
PS I also inadvertently purchased the Tomtom Australian Maps v6 which I now seem likely to be finding of no use as all devices already have maps loaded!

Hi Dave, GPS devices just need a bit of getting used to and most of them have a detailed HELP system to help you understand the system well. What you can do is check out the demo of the Tom Tom device on its web site to understand each functionality better. You are right about the maps bit but then that is something that we all just have to accept. What is worth noting is that even though PDAs have the maps, they still dont manage to have the navigational capacities of the GPS devices and thus the GPS devices have a market in which they can sell. One of the best Tom Tom devices is the www.myshopping.com.au/PR--155775_TomTom_ONE_XL_Regional_GPS and trust me, once you get the hang of it, you will discover how reliable GPS systems can be.
