Ducted Vacuum

Category: Question about Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaners
Posted by: 2-Aug-2008
Has anyone got a recommendation for a good quality / good value system, to suit a 3 bed unit, approx 165sqm area. I was thinking about putting the barrell in the laundry, and only one outlet in the hallway (which would reach all areas from that point) with an approx 12m hose. I looked at 1400w Pullman priced at approx price $900 installed from Godreys - Does that sound ok or can I do better do you think? Do you have to have the barrell outside in the garage, it is just that at the unit, then we would have to weave the hose via the garage
through the walls up to 3rd level! Any helps or tips appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Jen,
Central vac is such a great way to go especially if you're tired of lugging a heavy upright or tripping over a canister vacuum. The canister/barrel is usually located in either the garage or basement, so putting it in your laundry room should be fine. One of the most popular features of a central vac system is the "dustpan" vac which is a small, wide inlet built into the toekick area under a kitchen cabinet. You just have to sweep debris from the kitchen toward the inlet, open the inlet with your toe, and away it goes - no more messy dustpans!
You can have multiple inlets installed in every room, or you can have a single inlet in a convenient location, so your idea of one outlet in the hall sounds great :)
Unfortunately, myshopping doesn't have any merchants that sell these units, so you'll just have to do some shopping around for the best price.
If for some reason you decide to just go with a traditional vacuum, there's a great selection here www.myshopping.com.au/PT--297_Vacuum_Cleaners
Good luck!

Hi
For the ducted vacuum you should consider:
1.Is the system has contant suction pressure?
2. Is the system has constantly enough air valum?
3. Is the system need to be clean quite frequently?
I will suggest you have a bagless big dust backeter and self cleaning.
Then comes to the maker is that machine has been made in China?

I will suggest you have a ELECTROLUX CV3011
