The CNPS7700 sports the same bowl shaped heatsink and integrated fan design found on the CNPS7000s, only bigger. The CNPS7700 uses a 120mm fan (compared to the CNPS7000's 92mm). To accommodate this, the cooler uses a very large heatsink with a diameter of 136mm! Because this is the AlCu model, it "only" weighs 600g; whereas the pure copper model weighs in at 918g; almost a kilogram (over 2 lbs)! Zalman heatsinks are known to have some of the best lap jobs available; the CNPS 7700 is no exception. Included with the cooler is Zalman's FAN MATE 2, fan speed controller. With the FAN Mate 2, the CNPS7700 can go from Low-Noise mode with a high of 32dB (2,000 RPM) to Silent Mode with a low of 20dB (1,000 RPM). The CNPS7700 supports and includes mounting parts for all the latest socket types except for Socket A. Also, included is a tube of thermal paste, User's Manual, Zalman case badge, and a piece of double sided tape for mounting the FAN MATE 2 to the case. |
