Dyson DC-23 Nightmare

My husband and I have just been through two days of rubbish trying to get a straight answer regarding a Dyson DC-23. As we are starting a domestic cleaning business, we were investigating the purchase of the newest Dyson Barrel Model. It appeared to have everything we were looking for: compact, power and hardfloor heads,on board attachments, and the quality for which dyson is reknowned.... BUT we couldn't work out if the warrantee would cover us for commercial use. The closest we got to a straight answer was from a Dyson Helpline employee, who said she 'thinks' the warrantee covers commercial use for one year, rather than the usual two, but then led us on a circular conversation about warantee cards (found in the box after purchase)clearing up all our questions (???!!!*&%@!!) The dodgy salesperson we were dealing with tried to sell us an 'extended business warantee' for an extra 90 Bucks, but the fineprint stated it would not cover us for anything excluded by the original manufacturer's warantee. After much searching, we finally found a copy of Dyson's warantee info on the net only to discover that commercial use is NOT covered by the Dyson warrantee. If we had purchased the $1100 machine and something had gone wrong, even in the first week, neither warantee would cover the fault. So for anybody who is wondering, DYSON VACUUM CLEANERS CANNOT BE USED FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES, even for a home based domestic cleaning business. When you can buy a Pullman or Nilfisk with Powerhead for half the price, why would you bother with a Dyson, EVEN FOR DOMESTIC USE?
